These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Aaron Newcomer LLC, the operator of the Document Transcribe service ("Document Transcribe," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your use of our website, web service, mobile application, and related features (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, purchasing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If local law requires you to be older to enter this agreement, you must meet that age requirement.
Document Transcribe provides tools to capture, organize, store, sync, transcribe, translate, edit, export, and share documents. Some mobile features operate locally on your device. AI processing, account services, purchase verification, optional DT Sync, and cloud-copy features require network access and may send selected content to our servers and service providers.
Features, supported formats, usage limits, credit costs, and availability may change. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service, but changes to a paid subscription will be handled as required by law and the applicable store's rules.
Deleting an online account does not automatically delete an on-device archive, cancel an App Store subscription, or remove content controlled by another workspace. You must cancel any active subscription through the provider that bills it.
As between you and Document Transcribe, you retain ownership of documents and other content you submit and of your rights in edited or generated outputs. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, copy, transmit, process, format, display, and create outputs from your content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service and to comply with law. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for residual backups and legally required retention described in the Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed to submit the content and instruct us to process it. You are responsible for obtaining any consent required from people whose personal information appears in your documents and for configuring sharing appropriately.
Transcriptions, translations, summaries, and other AI-generated results may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or unsuitable for your purpose. Outputs may not be unique. You must review results before relying on them, especially for legal, financial, medical, historical, professional, or safety-critical decisions. The Service is not a substitute for qualified professional advice.
We may offer monthly or annual subscriptions that provide the features and recurring credit allowance described on the purchase screen. The price, billing period, included benefits, trial or introductory offer (if any), and renewal terms shown at purchase are part of these Terms.
Prices may exclude applicable taxes, which may be added as required. App Store purchases and refund requests are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and refund process; we cannot directly issue an App Store refund. Website purchases are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy and the payment processor's rules. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable refund or cancellation rights under applicable law.
A refund, chargeback, revocation, or payment failure may result in removal of the related credits or subscription benefits. Contact billing@documenttranscribe.com if you believe an entitlement or charge was recorded incorrectly.
You may not:
The Service relies on third parties such as Apple, Supabase, OpenAI, Stripe, cloud infrastructure, and analytics providers. Their services may be subject to their own terms and may experience outages.
For the iOS app, these Terms are between you and Document Transcribe, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the iOS-related provisions against you. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the app purchase price, if any, to the extent required by its terms. Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably needed to protect the Service or others, investigate suspected violations, respond to legal requirements, or address nonpayment. We may terminate access for a material or repeated breach. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export content, but we may act immediately when necessary for security, safety, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Termination does not automatically create a refund right. Sections that by their nature should survive—including ownership, accrued payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute terms, and indemnity—continue after termination.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and all outputs are provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the Service will preserve every file or that every error can be corrected. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of these terms may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Document Transcribe and its officers, employees, affiliates, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business interruption, arising from the Service or these Terms. Our total liability for all claims will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid to Document Transcribe for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Document Transcribe and its affiliates, officers, employees, and suppliers from third-party claims arising from your content, your unlawful or unauthorized use of the Service, or your material breach of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any non-waivable rights you have under local law, disputes must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas, and each party consents to their jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will provide reasonable advance notice when required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms. If any provision is unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization or transfer of the Service. These Terms and incorporated policies are the entire agreement about the Service.
